They Say a Picture Paints a Thousand Words

This one is reminiscent of Laurel and Hardy somehow?! Captions welcomed for any of these!!!!!!!!!!!! Click on the pics to zoom in his face is good in this one.
As you can see Drew has had a few at this stage!

There is a suggestion that we do this twice a year as it is great fun! Just a wee point for the record books made possible because I'm the author......Eddie Sheret and YT are unbeaten for over a year. Challengers welcomed.
ps A couple of us did manage to move stoor aboot the kirk before hand. You know who you are! and finally apologies about the quality of photos....settings were wrong on me phone

Hot off the press

What an enjoyable morning! Thanks to all for helping to make an hour or two out in the fresh air so much fun.

Fourteen brave souls managed to navigate the Dalkeith wilderness and discovered the fabled "meeting of the waters".

Tough conditions at this years tourney means lack of records broken

Rugged terrain and near hurricane force winds led to high scores and weather beaten faces (as evidenced by the photographs below) last Saturday at King's Park. You can sense the pressure as the brave band of brothers enter the fray for another gruelling putting competition. Last years winner joins an already elite group who have baulked at defending their trophy due to unforseen circumstances. Alan Hall did an impressive job presenting Simon with the new imaginery trophy, although he did nearly drop it a few times!
The tournament was won with an impressive 41 ish for the last man standing and the first man sitting, pictured reclining below, managed a whopping 60 plus. Well done Neil!!

bools

What a fantastic day for hearing the thud of composition plastic bouncing off carefully nurtured turf. Many thanks to the groundsmen at Kings Park Bowling Green for the wonderful restoration job they will almost have completed since our recent visist.

I think it was universally agreed that bowls was a bit of a success and enjoyed by all despite some protesting joints and muscles. It may be we will have to seek a new venue annually given the damage to the playing surface etc but I am sure there are enough greens in the county to let us get away with it for a while. Definately one to be added to the fixture list.
